I was currently using walnut shell sponges, and was on the lookout for something comparable and more affordable. These sponges are a great quality for the price you pay and what the biodegradable options means for this planet. I also cut mine in half (because my hands are small). The scrubby side is very scrubby, but not too much. And the other sponge side is just that-a sponge side! I will definitely buy these again when they run out-which won’t be until next year. Hah! Thanks for a great product!

5.0 out of 5 stars No noticeable downside for us October 2, 2023 Without doing a scientific test to compare these with synthetic sponges, I'm not sure how other reviewers are saying they don't last. Who's to say you didn't use one more vs. the other or scrubbed harder on one vs. the other? Either way, even if these didn't last as long, there's still something to be said for using a natural product and if it truly makes some sort of impact in our world, I'm willing to pay a little more for a little less.With that said, we've seen no noticeable difference in the longevity of these natural sponges compared to the yellow and green Scotch Bright sponges we've been using for the last twenty years in our home. Eventually, they will start to fall apart, for us, mostly the brown scrubber, tends to fail first because we mostly use that side of a sponge. And when it does fall apart, it looks exactly like its green counterpart when it falls apart.As far as the "lemon infused"... I'm not sure what that's about but it doesn't really add value in my opinion.The sponge works, doesn't have any noticeable downsides, comes in a good storage bag, and we will continue to use them as long as they are available.

5 out of 5 stars June 1, 2022 These are great sponges that are almost indistinguishable from a traditional sponge! They are absorbent and durable enough to use for about a week. The heavy duty scrub pad side is great for scrubbing the really difficult bits on most pans and the softer side works well on more delicate dishes or just for regular cleaning. I also really like the size of these. If you like to cut sponges in half to make them last longer, these make slightly larger halves.
My main con on these sponges is the scent. While it is a nice smell, it's very light and doesn't transfer to dishes. Additionally, it tends to fade quickly. If this is the only feature that you're buying these sponges for, it's not worth it.
Overall though, these are excellent sponges that don't contain plastic, yet are indistinguishable from traditional sponges in use. They are durable, absorbent, great for cleaning, and have a large cleaning surface.
